Week 9 Recap: Lamar Lights it Up, Herbert Quietly Dominates

Because no QB Club arm is suiting up on Monday Night, we’re dropping the recap a but early. Grab your coffee, cue the highlight reel, and let’s break down Week 9.

Thursday Night Statement

Lamar Jackson returned from injury like he’d never left.

  • 4 passing TDs
  • 33.56 fantasy points
  • Ravens 28, Dolphins 7

That Thursday total looked untouchable… and it was.

Sunday Shockers

  • Jordan Love (last week’s champ) managed just 9.02 fantasy points in a 16-13 loss to Carolina. Rough.
  • Patrick Mahomes, the only two-time weekly winner, followed with 10.5 in a loss to Buffalo. His season-lead cushion just shrank.
  • Jared Goff stayed steady (284 yards, 2 TDs) but never threatened the throne.
  • Justin Herbert and Josh Allen both eclipsed 30 in 7-point wins, but neither could catch Lamar.

One That Got Away

Caleb Williams (NFT soon-to-be-public) threw 3 TDs and caught one on a DJ Moore trick-play. 40+ points… that don’t count for us – yet.
