A Big Weekend Ahead

I know it overlaps college football and they don’t like stepping on each other’s toes… but I LOVE Saturday NFL football and I wish it was a season-round thing!

There are tons of categories up-for-grabs this week at The QB Club.  Let’s run through them before this week’s action begins:

WEEK 18 POINT-SCORING LEADER

Of course, the first is our weekly winner. This always gets strange at the end of the season, with playoff implications and draft position implications abound.  Which QB’s will start, which will sit, and which may only play a small amount before giving way to the back-up.

SEASON TOTALS – FANTASY SCORING

We payout for the Top 3 Fantasy Scoring quarterbacks for the full season totals.  The Top Scorer will receive 6 shares, or 39,468 $QBC.

Josh Allen currently has a large lead with 414.62 fantasy points so far this season. The Bills play the Jets this weekend, and their playoff seeding is still in question.  Allen will likely see the field, but a big lead against the hapless Jets might get him pulled early.

Jalen Hurts and Jared Goff are battling it out for the next two spots, with Goff currently less than 2 points behind Hurts.  Justin Herbert is about 11 points behind Goff. The Eagles and Chargers have both clinched playoff berths, but both may improve positioning with wins.  As for the Lions, they were eliminated from playoff contention last week, but you have to think that Dan Campbell won’t lay down and give up an opportunity to spoil the Bears’ playoff position.

SEASON TOTALS – PASSING YARDS and TDs

Even if the Lions inexplicably bench him, it is very likely that no one is likely to catch Jared Goff in Passing Yards and TD’s.  You can pretty much take it to the bank.

Herbert and Allen will be battling it out for second place in Season Total Yards, with Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love quite a ways back and in need of both a tremendous game and some underperformances from the main contenders.

After Goff, the TD pass category is up for grabs – Herbert (26), Allen (25), Mayfield (25), Hurts (25) and Jordan Love (24) all have a shot at a payout slot.

SEASON TOTALS – RUSHING YARDS

We only payout one prize for the QB who rushes for the most yards.  This year, it’s looking like Josh Allen will take that prize.  Justin Herbert is 83 yards behind him, so unless Herbert breaks off a few long runs, the prize is likely going to Allen.

SEASON’S BIGGEST ONE-WEEK TOTALS

We also payout three $QBC prizes to the players with the highest one-week fantasy point total.  Some familiar names here, of course.  Josh Allen put up 48.68 points in week 11.  Jared Goff went for 43.96 in week 2.  And Allen put up 43.84 points in week 14.

REMINDER

Some other quarterbacks may have season stats or weekly performances greater than the winners posted above. However, we calculate stats from when the player NFTs were registered at The QB Club. Beta-tested QBs were active from the beginning.  Matt Stafford, Sam Darnold, and Trevor Lawrence were added later on. Many still sit inactive and FOR SALE at the QB Club page at the Magic Eden Marketplace. Check us out here:  magiceden.us/marketplace/qbc
