Season Zero continues to move forward at The QB Club, and what began as a simulation experiment is quickly turning into something much more competitive than we expected.
After the opening round wrapped up, eight quarterbacks advanced into the tournament bracket. From there, the stakes rose immediately. Every matchup mattered. Every possession counted. And now, after a full slate of quarterfinal games, we’re down to just four remaining contenders.
Here’s how the quarterfinals played out:
#1 Jared Goff defeated #8 Josh Allen
The top seed held serve. Allen put up a strong effort early, but Goff controlled the pace of the game and advanced with authority.
#4 Patrick Mahomes defeated #5 Bryce Young
Mahomes showed why he’s always dangerous in tournament play. A steady performance and timely scoring pushed him into the semifinals.
#7 Justin Herbert defeated #2 Jordan Love
Herbert delivered one of the most impressive performances of the round, knocking out the second seed and shaking up the bracket.
#6 Sam Darnold defeated #3 Aaron Rodgers
A defensive-inspired battle. Rodgers entered as one of the favorites, but Darnold capitalized on opportunities and secured the upset.
With those results finalized, the field is now set for the Semifinal Round.

SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS BEGIN TODAY
The road to the Season Zero title now runs through two heavyweight showdowns:
#1 Jared Goff vs #4 Patrick Mahomes
and
#7 Justin Herbert vs #6 Sam Darnold
Each of these matchups represent a different storyline.
Goff continues his run as the tournament’s top seed and most consistent performer so far. Mahomes brings experience, explosiveness, and the ability to change a game in a single drive.
On the other side of the bracket, Herbert enters with momentum after eliminating Jordan Love, while Darnold carries the confidence after defeating an NFL legend.
Two games. Four quarterbacks. One step closer to a champion.
WHAT SEASON ZERO IS SHOWING US
Season Zero has always been about more than simulation results. It’s about testing the structure of league play, scoring balance, tournament flow, and competitive pacing as we prepare for expansion across future QB Club seasons.
So far, the early signs are encouraging:
- Matchups have been competitive
- We’ve distributed more NFTs
- Upsets are happening
- Seeding still matters
- And the bracket format is delivering real drama
Exactly what we hoped to see.
As we continue forward, these results will help shape how future seasons operate across Quarterbacks, Running Backs, and WR/TE Clubs as the ecosystem grows.
STILL TIME TO BUILD YOUR ROSTER
Even as Season Zero advances toward the finals, there are still QB Club NFTs available on Magic Eden.
Early holders are already seeing how tournament play brings their players into the spotlight. We’re already coming up with ideas that will benefit early participants. If you’ve been waiting to join, now is a great time to add a quarterback before the next phase begins.
