Week 1 Is Here: The First NFL Sunday of the Season

The wait is over.

The NFL season is officially underway, and this weekend brings what football fans have really been waiting for: the first full Sunday slate of the year.

For The QB Club, that means the games start counting, the Player NFTs come back to life, and another season of following the players behind the cards begins.

Purdy Starts Fast

Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers already got things started in a big way.

Purdy threw three touchdown passes as San Francisco opened its season with a convincing 27-7 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne. He finished 25-of-34 for 205 yards, spreading those touchdowns among Demarcus Robinson, Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel.

Not a bad way to start the year.

And that is exactly what makes The QB Club fun. These aren’t just digital collectibles sitting in a wallet. They’re tied to real players, real cards and a season that is now unfolding every week.

With the first full Sunday schedule arriving, we’ll have a lot more players to watch.

Plenty of Player NFTs Are Still Available

If you’ve been watching The QB Club from the sidelines, there are still many Player NFTs available.

Each one represents a real football card held within The QB Club ecosystem, connecting physical collecting with digital ownership and our fantasy-style competitions.

Some of the biggest names in football are already owned and LIVE. Others are still waiting for somebody to claim them.

As the season develops, performances on the field should make following those players, and the Registry, a lot more interesting.

If you’ve been thinking about joining The QB Club, Week 1 is a pretty good place to start.

Vault Boost Wednesdays Are Coming

Our Vault Boosts are also returning on a regular schedule.

Going forward, we’re planning to open packs every Wednesday, adding new cards to The QB Club Prize Vaults along the way. Follow our Instagram to check out the latest pack rips.

And we’ve got something especially fun lined up for the season.

We’ll be working our way through packs from our Topps Flagship Hobby Box, giving us something new to open each week while continuing to build the physical-card side of the ecosystem.

As always, you never know what is hiding in the next pack.

That’s part of the fun.

Something Much Bigger Is Being Built

There is also a lot happening behind the scenes at The QB Club.

We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves yet, but the project is beginning to grow well beyond simply connecting NFTs to football cards.

We’ve been building the infrastructure for a much more complete QB Club experience – member accounts, integrated wallets, easier ways to fund and manage those wallets, and eventually a much better way to buy, sell and make offers on Player NFTs directly through The QB Club.

Physical cards are part of that vision too.

Our long-term goal is to bring the different pieces together so collectors don’t need to bounce between a website, a marketplace, a crypto wallet and a collection of outside services just to participate.

And $QBC is intended to become increasingly useful inside that ecosystem as it develops.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, and we’re going to keep building carefully rather than announcing features before they’re ready.

But the foundation is getting much bigger.

Now Let’s Play Some Football

That’s for another day.

This weekend is about football.

The first full Sunday of the NFL season is here. Player performances start piling up. The Registry starts getting more interesting. Vault Boost Wednesdays are on the way. And there are still plenty of Player NFTs waiting for their owners.

We’ve spent a lot of the offseason building.

Now we finally get to watch the players play.

Real Football Cards. Fantasy Competition. Digital Ownership.

One block at a time, we keep the chains moving.
