The playoffs have officially begun and we had quite a few barn-burners and some big fantasy point totals!
SATURDAY
In Carolina, the Rams eliminated the Panthers in a nailbiter. Bryce Young’s QB Club NFT remains unclaimed but wouldn’t have made a difference as Young’s point total wouldn’t have been enough. Stafford put up 28.16 fantasy points, throwing for 3 TDs and grabbing an early lead on the week.
The late game was crazy, with the Bears coming back from a big halftime deficit putting up 25 points in the 4th quarter. Caleb Williams led the comeback but, like Bryce Young, his NFT remains unclaimed. In the loss, it was Jordan Love putting up the big stats. 4 TD passes helped push him to 38.02 points to take the lead from Stafford.
SUNDAY
Three games on the Sunday docket and some big names – Allen, Herbert, Hurts, Lawrence – all hitting the field for wildcard weekend. Love put up a big number, but with these names to play, the Love NFT-holder couldn’t count their $QBC rewards yet!
Game One posed the big challenge of Love’s lead. No QB earned more $QBC this year than Josh Allen, and Trevor Lawrence had been on fire the past few weeks of the season. The game would be another tight one, and both quarterbacks put up decent fantasy numbers – 32.22 for Allen and 25.38 for Lawrence. The Bills would pull out a very close W in Jacksonville, and Love’s lead was still safe.
The rest of the day was a bit anti-climactic. Purdy and Maye’s NFTs remain unclaimed. Both Hurts and Herbert put up very disappointing fantasy numbers – 14.12 and 10.06 respectively – as both the Eagles and Chargers bowed out.
MONDAY
This left us facing Monday Night’s game with Jordan Love’s lead still intact. CJ Stroud’s NFT remains unclaimed, leaving Aaron Rodgers as the last challenge. Leading up to the playoffs, Rodgers top target, DK Metcalf, had been suspended. Would having him back help put Rodgers in contention. Perhaps Rodgers could summon up the magic from his Packers days to lead one final career Super Bowl push?
Nope. In fact, let’s forget that game ever happened. I hate to tarnish Rodgers’ legacy by printing how many points he put up in this game. The Texans move on, and despite his team taking a loss, Jordan Love wins Wildcard Week.
MOVING FORWARD
As we head down the Divisional Round, the supply of active QB Club quarterbacks is beginning to dwindle. Off the NFC bye week, Sam Darnold joins Matt Stafford and Josh Allen as the only claimed NFTs remaining in the playoffs.
That’s right! The rest of the starters are all unclaimed and still available at the Magic Eden marketplace – magiceden.us/marketplace/qbc.
CJ Stroud and Brock Purdy – two young vets remain unclaimed. Caleb Williams and Bo Nix NFT’s – which are their tokenized rookie cards – also remain unclaimed. Lastly, Drake Maye – whose NFT is not only his rookie card, but he is the leading candidate for the MVP Award, which would also bring with it a pretty sizable $QBC reward.
If you’ve been watching and haven’t got involved yet, now is the time! Grab a tokenized player card NFT, opt-in by registering it at our website, and GET IN THE ACTION!
